New annual feature examines executive gender diversity in Canada

Today Report on Business magazine unveiled the findings of Women Lead Here, a new annual benchmark of executive gender diversity in corporate Canada.

“We know women continue to be under-represented in the executive levels of Canadian corporations,” says James Cowan, editor, Report on Business magazine. “Through Women Lead Here, we wanted to create a standard for other companies to measure themselves against while also demonstrating that inclusive leadership is good for business.” Read more…

The Globe and Mail nominated for 19 National Newspaper Awards

The Globe and Mail has received 19 nominations for this year’s National Newspaper Awards, including one recognizing the paper’s role in breaking the story of the attempt of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office to pressure then-justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to intervene in the prosecution of engineering firm SNC-Lavalin Group Inc.

The Globe and Mail received a record number of awards at the Society for News Design’s recent Best of News Design competition, with at least 25 awards of excellence. The Globe is also one of 11 nominees for World’s Best Designed Newspaper, out of a field of nearly 100 top publications from around the world. The podcast, which ran for six episodes in 2019, was produced for Microsoft. Listeners joined pop culture aficionado Becky Shrimpton and tech journalist Navneet Alang as they examined the role of AI in our lives and where the technology can take us.
