The Globe and Mail pleased to announce judges
for the 2020 Cannes Young Lions Competitions

The Globe and Mail, Official Festival Representative in Canada for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, is pleased to announce the judges for the 2020 Canadian Young Lions Competitions.

Competition entries for the 2020 Cannes Young Lions Competitions are judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders, led by returning jury chairs Mary Maddever (Print/Digital/Film), Cathy Collier (Media) and new chair Susan Irving (Marketers). Registration for the competitions ends February 24, 2020 at 11:59 PM ET. The competition takes place from February 29 to March 2, 2020. Eligible entrants receive a brief and must complete the challenge for their respective categories within a 24- or 48-hour time period. Submissions are judged by a panel of industry leaders within each category, with the top three finalist teams announced at the CMDC Summit on April 22, 2020. Each Gold-winning team will travel to Cannes, France to represent Canada in the global Young Lions Competitions from June 22 to 26, 2020.

As the Competition Sponsor, The Globe and Mail awards a prize valued at approximately $7,500 CDN per Gold-winning team, which includes the cost of flights, accommodations and delegate registration.

The Globe and Mail has been the official Canadian representative of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity since 2005, hosting the Canadian Young Lions competitions since 2007 and the Marketers competition since 2012.

Strategy Magazine, Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA), and the Canadian Media Directors’ Council (CMDC) also support the competitions as partners of the Canadian Cannes Program.
