The Globe and Mail appoints new Report on Business Editor

The Globe and Mail has appointed Gary Salewicz as its new Editor, Report on Business, where he will direct Canada’s top business newsroom and build on our award-winning finance, business and investment coverage.

A veteran journalist, Salewicz led Report on Business Magazine for more than a decade. Salewicz’s former positions at The Globe include Assistant Managing Editor, Experience, and Head of Editing, where he was responsible for maintaining The Globe’s high editorial and accuracy standards.

McGill Desautels Faculty of Management in Collaboration with RBC Future Launch and The Globe and Mail Launch National Personal Finance Course

To help Canadians better understand how to manage their personal finances, McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management has collaborated with RBC Future Launch and The Globe and Mail to increase access to, and deliver personal finance education to all Canadians across the country for free. CEO of the Year to be announced at November 25 gala

The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business today announced Canada’s top leaders of 2019 as part of its annual CEO of the Year award feature. The five CEOs represent the best of Canadian corporate leadership, innovation, vision, and responsibility.

The Globe and Mail relaunches browser extension to monitor Facebook ads ahead of Canadian election

Political ad collector created by U.S. investigative journalism non-profit ProPublica in 2017

 The Globe and Mail is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Facebook Political Ad Collector (FBPAC), an online tool designed to monitor political advertising on Facebook. The collector, a web browser extension that can be downloaded by users, was built in 2017 by ProPublica as a tool to help create more transparency about the modern electoral landscape. Read more…
