The Globe and Mail announces new online education centre for financial professionals

The Globe and Mail today announced the new online Globe Advisor Continuing Education Centre. Powered by Learnedly, Canada’s training platform for financial professionals, the education centre offers Globe Advisor users and Learnedly subscribers professional financial courses accredited for continuing education that can be used for personal knowledge or to satisfy industry requirements.

“With over 100,000 financial professionals across the country, packaging Globe and Mail journalism into content that can be easily consumed and practically applied is a unique approach that makes sense to us,” says Garth Thomas, Managing Director, Business and Financial Products at The Globe and Mail. “The financial services world is constantly changing, and it’s our goal to help advisors stay informed.”

Ten initial Globe Advisor Continuing Education Centre courses have received accreditation from FP Canada and the Alberta Insurance Council, and are available on any device to Globe Advisor users. More courses will be added over time and currently cover topics such as:

  • Client Management

  • Client Prospecting

  • Disclosure, Conflicts and Promotional Items

  • Diversity and Inclusion

  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

  • Financial Planning

  • Practice Management

  • Vulnerable and Senior Clients
