The Globe and Mail announces Garth Thomas as Managing Director, Business and Financial Products

The Globe and Mail is pleased to announce Garth Thomas as its first Managing Director, Business and Financial Products.
This appointment confirms The Globe’s commitment to growing its award-winning business products, including Report on Business, Report on Business magazine, and its range of sites including Globe Investor.
Garth will be responsible for championing The Globe’s business and financial products to maximize brand reach, expand revenue and identify and capitalize on new opportunities for product development.
“Garth will be central to maintaining The Globe and Mail’s reputation as the place Canadian business leaders go to for the highest quality journalism on topics that matter to them,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO, The Globe and Mail. “Garth’s close relationship to our data science, subscription, advertising and editorial teams will bring new insight to our products.”
Most recently Senior Director, Business Development at Rogers Media, Garth is an industry veteran with over ten years of experience successfully building and expanding revenue products including Advisor.ca/Conseiller.ca, Today’s Parent, and Maclean’s University franchise. He brings deep knowledge of how to accelerate digital growth and launch new revenue initiatives.
